Hidayah Curriculum Overview for Parents
A parent-friendly overview of the Hidayah Campaign curriculum, showing what children and youth will learn each week, how the content is adapted for ages 6–16, and how the program helps participants know, love, and follow Prophet Muhammad ﷺ through age-appropriate learning, reflection, activities, and practical challenges.
What Will My Child Learn?
Hidayah is a 5-week learning journey designed to help children and youth know, love, and follow Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.
The campaign combines age-appropriate learning with stories, reflection, activities, creative projects, and practical challenges so participants can connect what they learn to everyday life.
Week 1 — Who Was Prophet Muhammad ﷺ?
Participants are introduced to Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, his life, character, and mission. They begin building a personal connection with him and understanding why he is the best example to follow.
Week 2 — How Did He Love People?
Participants explore the Prophet’s ﷺ mercy, kindness, and gentleness in the way he treated others. They learn how these qualities can be practiced at home, with friends, and in the wider community.
Week 3 — How Did He Deal with People?
Participants learn about the Prophet’s ﷺ truthfulness, trustworthiness, and good character in his dealings with others. They explore how honesty, responsibility, respect, and good manners can shape their own daily choices.
Week 4 — How Was the Prophet’s ﷺ Relationship with His Lord?
Participants explore how the Prophet ﷺ worshipped Allah through prayer, du‘ā’, gratitude, night prayer, and reliance on Him. They learn how to strengthen their own relationship with Allah by bringing these practices into their daily lives.
Week 5 — How Can I Live Like the Prophet ﷺ?
Participants bring everything they have learned together and reflect on how they can follow the Prophet’s ﷺ example in their own lives. They create a personal plan to continue practicing the values, habits, and character they explored throughout the campaign.
Age-Appropriate Learning
The Hidayah Campaign is designed for three age groups:
Ages 6–8
Simple, engaging learning through stories, visuals, discussion, and practical activities.
Ages 9–11
Deeper understanding through stories, reflection, discussion, and age-appropriate challenges.
Ages 12–16
More advanced learning with deeper reflection, real-life application, discussion, and personal growth.
How Does the Learning Work?
Each week follows a simple learning journey:
Discover — Learn something new about Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.
Think — Reflect on the meaning and connect it to real life.
Live — Practice the value through a practical challenge.
Create — Complete a creative activity or project.
Grow — Reflect on what changed and how to continue.
More Than Learning About the Prophet ﷺ
The goal of Hidayah is not only to teach children and youth about Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, but to help them love him, connect with his example, and bring his character into their everyday lives.
